Summary

The implantation numbers of conventional pacemakers did not really change compared to previous years; however the procedure numbers of both implantable cardioverter defibrillator and cardiac resynchronization therapy forward increased. In this period not only the number of implanted devices increased but in the explantation centeres the number of lead and total pacemaker/ICD system explantations are increased too.
