Summary

Transcatheter aortic valve replacement is most commonly implanted from femoral approach. Beside the insufficient alternative accesses used at present, the transcarotid approach might be solution. We present the first succesfully implanted case in Hungary and by analysing the published results of this approach we verify the safety and feasibility of this technique.
