Summary
In our review, we provide a detailed overview of the state-of-the-art methodology of point-by-point pulmonary vein isolation with radiofrequency energy and the stages of the procedure’s development that have significantly increased the effectiveness of the treatment. Our aim was to describe the scientific evidences related to the techniques which made the procedure a standardizable and reproducible intervention.
